    Will solar panels work for my property?

    If you have a roof that is facing east, south or west, then you could benefit from solar PV. Even if you are living in a cloudy part of the country, you can still generate solar energy through the clouds. Plus, you don’t need planning permission (unless you live in a conservation area or have a flat roof)

    What are solar panels?

    Solar panels, also known as solar photovoltaics (PV), capture the sun’s FREE energy and convert it into electricity to power your home.

    Your solar panels generate a direct current of electricity (DC). Your solar inverter will convert it into alternating current (AC) which can be used in your home.

    With the government’s ECO4 scheme, you could get solar panel funding to cover 100% of the costs.

    Do I qualify for a solar panel grant?

    If you’re a homeowner with an income under £30,000 a year or you are receiving qualifying benefits, then the government grant will cover the entire cost of your solar panels.

    Your home must also have an EPC rating of D or lower. If you qualify then you can go directly to installers like us, who can arrange a site survey.
