    Who is eligible for the ECO4 scheme?

    The scheme is open to owner-occupiers in England, Scotland and Wales, who are living in privately owned homes or in social housing or are a tenant with permission from the landlord.

    Eligibility also depends on having an EPC rating of D, E, F or G, a low income or receiving state benefits.

    If no one in your household meets the criteria mentioned above, there is still a way to potentially qualify for ECO funding with ECO4 Flex.

    With the ECO Flex Grants scheme, local authorities can nominate homeowners that might not meet the eligibility criteria.

    Are landlords eligible to apply for the ECO4 scheme?

    If you are a landlord and have tenants who claim benefits, then they can apply for a grant.

    For tenants to qualify for ECO4 the privately rented property must have an EPC rating of E, F or G.
